I grew up in Colorado, in a non-fishing/non-outdoorsy family. I found a friend in high school whoís family kayaked and rafted, and convinced them to start taking me on family trips. Then in my early 20’s, a friend offered to take me fly fishing. I was hooked on both immediately. I spent my 20ís working when I had to, and the rest of my time traveling to find better rapids, and bigger fish. I always had a fly rod with me while kayaking, but the thought of ìkayak fishingî never really occurred to me. I spent my 30ís rafting and fishing, and starting my family in Alaska, then moved to Washington shortly before turning 40. I found the kayak fishing world here pretty quickly.
After seeing people talk online about how we have no scene here and question repeatedly why we didnít have a KBF series, I looked into it and decided to give it a shot.
