NKBA

The Puget Sound Chapter of the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) showcases the latest trends in design and products in their display at the Tacoma Home & Garden Show®, January 25-29 at the Tacoma Dome.
Sponsored by Viking, two new idea-generating showcase kitchens spotlight the latest generation of appliances, cabinetry and labor-saving features. The current trend in homes of having a main kitchen for the family’s everyday use and a second room used as a working pantry will be highlighted in the two displays.
Adding to the fun, a visiting chef will be showcasing the state-of-the-art kitchen “at work” with daily cooking demonstrations. There will also be a display featuring design boards from the 2011 NKBA Design Competition entries.
The main kitchen showcase will display beautiful walnut veneer cabinetry accented by iridescent blue Viking appliances, spotlighting the newest trend of using color in appliances. Other products featured in the full kitchen display are Cosentino quartz countertops and a stunning glass brick backsplash.
The working pantry display highlights gray laminate cabinets with a pumpkin-colored range and dishwasher from Viking. The Pental Chroma quartz countertops and an attractive white wave pattern tile for the backsplash complete the look.
The master bath display features the new trend of simple cabinetry in a freestanding furniture style. A vanity mirror showcases the option of a television within the mirror for the consumer who wants to keep up with the news while getting ready in the morning.
“It’s an opportunity to meet the best kitchen & bath professionals in the industry face-to-face and walk within our fabulous kitchen and master bathroom displays,” said Vawn Greany, CKD, CBD, and president of the NKBA’s Puget Sound Chapter.
The Puget Sound chapter of the NKBA is one of more than 70 chapters and over 40,000 members throughout the United States and Canada. It is the only trade association dedicated exclusively to the kitchen and bath industry.
NKBA Professional Development Courses raise the bar for kitchen and bath professionals. NKBA Kitchen and Bath Designer Certifications are based on written examinations and extensive industry experience. NKBA Certification lets consumers know that their designer’s professional skills have been independently evaluated and tested and that they’re committed to improving those skills through ongoing education and professional development.
