Special Attractions

The following attraction will be on display at this year's Tacoma Fall Home & Garden Show

For those who enjoy “putting around the house,” the show will feature a 500 square foot putting green created by Evergreen Landscaping, accompanied by Virtual Golf System’s amazing high definition golf simulator. For home putting practice, the green uses synthetic turf that simulates a real putting green surface for fun for the whole family. The Virtual golf display will include various contests throughout the show, with prizes provided Puetz Golf Superstores.

The Home Depot will stage clinics covering topics focusing on electrical, plumbing, floors and kitchen upgrades and renovations. They will also showcase their vendor relationships with Tuff Shed, Puget Sound Energy, Northwest Fencing Systems and Behr Paint, among others. For the family, “Homer,” the retailer’s mascot, will also be on hand.

It’s time to take the chill out of your home –and your tax bill—with local experts showcasing products and services at the show. West Coast Vinyl features products locally manufactured in Tacoma for over 30 years, including vinyl replacement windows designed with foam filled frame chambers for added insulation. According to owner Corbin Constantino, these qualify

Feature gardens showcasing the work of top professionals include:

• Marenakos Rock Center and Washington Association of Landscape Professionals. The focus will be outdoor living—creating a garden highlighting fun in your own back yard. The massive dream garden will feature 100 cubic yards of soil from Sawdust Supply; 100 tons of stone from Marenakos Rock Center; full size trees from Puget Sound Gardens; turf from Country Green and electrical and irrigation systems from Ewing supply.
   

• SK Landscaping’s garden theme will be Landscapes of Ireland. Blending perfectly with the Pacific NW climate, this garden concept is very low maintenance, with lots of rock placement, stone paths with manageable planting and grass areas. A stone fire pit will be featured in the center of the display with a stone hot tub in the background.
   

• J.A.C. Landscaping will spotlight a garden around water features, with a threetiered rock bubbler and a standard waterfall with a pond. Surrounding the features will be a paver patio and fire pit which incorporate trees and grasses in an alpine landscape. The display will also showcase a variety of products, including low voltage landscape lighting, irrigation and paver displays.
